The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported that the state’s gaming sector generated $602.4 million in combined revenue throughout March 2026. This represents a 4.85% improvement over the corresponding period in 2025.
Tax collections from gaming operations reached $259.2 million for the month. These revenues encompassed all regulated gaming verticals including slot machines, table games, online casinos, sports wagering, video gaming terminals, and fantasy sports competitions.
The monthly data reveals a continuing transformation in gambling preferences. Digital platforms including online casinos and sports betting drove expansion, while brick-and-mortar operations experienced softening demand.
Online Casinos Narrow Gap With Traditional Slot Revenues
Physical casino properties throughout Pennsylvania delivered varying performance levels. Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course captured the top position among all venues with $116.3 million in adjusted gross revenue, representing an 8.5% year-over-year advance.
Valley Forge Casino Resort demonstrated robust growth, climbing 14.6% to reach $98.8 million. Caesars Virginia recorded adjusted gross revenue of $34.2 million for the reporting period.
Several major properties experienced contractions. Parx Casino revenues declined modestly to $57.8 million. Wind Creek Bethlehem saw a more substantial 9.2% decrease to $45.9 million.
Across Pennsylvania, retail slot machine revenue totaled $216.2 million, marking a 2.8% decline versus March 2025. Revenue from physical table games fell 3.9% to $78.7 million.
Digital casino platforms presented a contrasting picture. Online slot revenue expanded 12.2% to $201.4 million.
Combined iGaming revenue hit $254.7 million, up 6.9% from the prior year. This positions online casino revenue within striking distance of traditional slot machine revenue.
Harrah’s Philadelphia recorded one of the most impressive digital performances. The property’s iGaming revenue surged 42.7% compared to the same month in 2025.
Sportsbooks Achieve Higher Win Rates on Reduced Betting Volume
Sports wagering results displayed an interesting dichotomy. The aggregate amount staked declined 13.3% to $730.9 million.
However, taxable sportsbook revenue soared 77.1% to $47.9 million. This substantial divergence indicates operators retained a significantly higher percentage of wagers during March.
Valley Forge Casino Resort nearly doubled its sports wagering income, achieving $18.6 million. Presque Isle Downs experienced a remarkable 591% surge in sports betting revenue, reaching $2.3 million.
Hollywood Casino at the Meadows also expanded its sportsbook revenue by 65.4% to $14.5 million.
Video gaming terminals added $3.9 million to overall revenue, up 4.1%. Fantasy contest revenue contracted nearly 10% to $1.1 million.
DraftKings maintained its position as Pennsylvania’s leading fantasy sports operator, generating $834,000 in monthly revenue.
March’s reporting demonstrates that digital channels now serve as the primary growth engine for Pennsylvania’s gaming industry. Traditional casino floors experienced year-over-year declines in both slot and table game revenue, while internet-based gaming and sports wagering delivered substantial gains.
Valley Forge Casino Resort emerged as one of the month’s standout performers, achieving double-digit revenue increases in multiple categories including overall gaming and sports betting. Presque Isle Downs recorded the state’s most dramatic percentage growth in sports betting revenue with a 591% year-over-year jump.
