According to initial coverage from the Financial Times, sources familiar with the arrangement confirmed the pending deal.
Final loan agreements are anticipated within weeks. Rather than constructing the campus directly, Alphabet is assuming the role of financial guarantor, leveraging its investment-grade credit to help secure advantageous financing terms from banking partners.
Multiple banking institutions are currently vying to provide funding for the initial construction phase, with commitments expected by summer.
